Officers responded to the Kentwood Village Apartments after a resident saw a man later identified as Joshua Guarino in their apartment via security camera, Brick Township police said.
Officers found Guarino running from the apartment and ordered him to stop, police said. He refused and continued to run, but didn't get far — he was apprehended following a short foot chase on Route 70, police said.
Guarino had women's clothing and jewelry when police caught him, officers said. Police said they believe there are additional victims.
Guarino was charged with burglary, theft, obstruction, resisting arrest, interference with transportation and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was lodged in the Ocean County Jail, police said.
